Huskies lose heartbreaker at Grayshott
The under 13 Huskies went down 2-1 away at Grayshott in the Premier League to the very last kick of the game. The Husks made the short trip up the road with only 10 as James was ruled out with injury and both Ross and Sammy had school commitments. Grayshott very sportingly gave us a player to make up the numbers. The Husks took the lead with a great goal from Woody and then really took the game to the excellent Grayshott, who are second in the league.
The Husks should have had one or two more in the first half, but Grayshott also threatened. The second half was tough for the lads as the heavy pitch took it’s toll. No lack of effort though and the Husks again could have gone further ahead. The next goal went to Grayshott though, a penalty which was thumped past Luke.
The pressure was now on, but an amazing team effort saw the Husks get to the very last kick of the ball all square. Unfortunately that last kick was by a Grayshott player who slid the ball into the net!
The Huskies were fantastic today against a very good team and were very unlucky not to come away with at least a point. Well done lads.
