Please read the nominations below and then make your choice at the bottom of the page. The winner will be presented with the trophy at their respective presentation evening. A massive thanks to all of the nominees from the club.
I would like to nominate Charlie Windle for the Bob Hall trophy for outstanding sportsmanship.
Charlie happily stepped forward to fill the vacant goalkeeping position in our U16’s team and not once has he complained or moaned. He is a quiet young man, who has just got on with playing football and who has performed heroics in goal at times in what has been a challenging last season for the team. Without Charlie’s contribution this season, I’m not sure the team would have made it to the end of the season and for that the team and management are extremely thankful.
I would like to nominate Billy Allcock and James Oxton for the Bob Hall trophy for outstanding sportsmanship.
Billy and James, who both play for the Under 13’s stepped up to help coach the U8 tigers whilst the club were trying to find a new management team. Billy and James also volunteered to help out with the cub’s football tournament which was held at the club. They are both Liphook United, through and through.
I would like to nominate Arnold Miron for the Bob Hall trophy for outstanding sportsmanship.
Arnold started the season wanting to be a men’s team player, as he had been in the past. Arnie had been injured, so he was only selected as a substitute, however he was always there to give people a hand. Towards the end of the season, as first team managers came and went, Arnie stepped up to make sure the first team saw their games out with a manager. A great effort.
