All change at the top

Andy Keen has resigned his position as First team manager.  I would like to thank Andy for all of his hard work over the last two years.  I believe he has been a breath of fresh air at the club and has worked very hard to develop a pathway for the youth players to follow as they try to break into adult football.  This was exactly what was asked of him when we were lucky enough to secure his services.  Andy had also been our Covid 19 officer and had gone above and beyond what was asked of him.  He will be missed and we wish him well at his next club.

Although sad to see Andy leave, we are very lucky to have a ready made replacement.

Aidan James will take full time control of the Men’s first team, he is a Level 2 qualified coach and is Liphook United Football club to the core.  Congratulations Aidan and the best of luck to you.  Aidan will be assisted by Ben Wells, another Level 2 coach who steps up from being reserve team manager.  Congratulations Ben, he is another manager who gives a huge amount of time to the club.

The reserves will be under the caretaker management team of reserves captain Ashley Sharp and assistant Dai Hopkins until a suitable manager can be found. Thanks to both of them for offering to look after the team for now.
