Bramshott Open Gardens. A thank you from LUFC
Liphook United Football Club have been extremely lucky to receive a very generous donation from Bramshott Open Gardens. We are delighted to confirm that we have been given £1000. These funds are much needed as we have lost a lot of revenue since the pandemic began.
David Levy of the Bramshott Open Garden committee wrote;
“every two years we hold a popular and successful open gardens event in Bramshott that generates a positive community spirit in our village and produces a surplus of funds to be distributed, primarily to deserving local causes. Although we were unable to stage the event this year for reasons you can probably guess, we did hold a couple of alternative fundraisers, and so we have been discussing how best to target our charitable donations, particularly in the context of many local families facing extra financial stress due to the pandemic”
Liphook United will use the donation to help subsidise the signing on fees of any child whose parents or guardians might be experiencing financial difficulties. We always strive to make sure that money will not be a reason that a child can not play football and this donation will help us enormously to achieve that goal.
We would also like to thank Camilla Cook, whose son plays for Liphook. Camilla is the one who introduced LUFC to Bramshott Open gardens through her friend and neighbour – and our club Treasurer- Jules Upton. Jules and Camilla both deserve praise for making this happen.
Bramshott Open Gardens will be having a plant sale in June and we hope you will all support this community minded organisation as they have supported us. Please see the link to their website below.
