New reserve team manager appointed

Congratulations to Aidan James who has been appointed the new reserve team manager.  I could not be more delighted that Aidan has agreed to take on this challenge.  Aidan has been involved with the club for many years and has already given up hundreds of hours as the referee coordinator at as many Liphook tournaments as I can remember.  He is a Liphook United lad through and through and I had no hesitation bringing him on board.

Aidan had this to say,

“This is a great opportunity as it promises to be an exciting yet challenging season ahead.  With lots of young players making the step from youth football to senior football, which is something the management team and I are trying to build on.

Having played and coached within the youth sections of the club for several years, I’m excited and proud to take on my new role at Liphook United FC as the Reserve Team Manager.  One of the many reasons this opportunity was so appealing to me, was to continue to work with, and develop some of the villages best young footballers.  I will be working closely with the rest of the senior management team to ensure there’s a pathway from the youth teams all the way through to the senior first team at Liphook United.

I’m looking forward to getting the season underway and expect to see lots of young talented faces pulling on the blue shirt this season.  Please come down and support the Team”

We wish him the best of luck in his new position.
